Alta Mira Chapter, Lindsay, California in partnership with the 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the Vietnam War committee presented a “Rose of Remembrance” rose bush at the Vietnam Memorial in Veterans Park in Porterville. This is the second program Alta Mira has given to honor Vietnam Vets. In November of last year Department of Defense lapel pins as well as NSDAR certificates of appreciation were given to 48 Vietnam Veterans. At the June event three more veterans received their certificates and pins. Regent Pat Holly emceed the event along with Chairman Deanna Pettus.
