California Daughters, it is my pleasure to announce our Southwest Division and National award winning chapters in the following Commemorative Events categories:
- 4th of July Parade: Gaspar de Portola Chapter. First place in State and the Southwest Division.
- 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War
- Largest number of Vietnam Vets honored in a single event: Cahuilla Chapter. First place in the State, Southwest Division and the Nation.
- Best Chapter Display: Letitia Coxe Shelby Chapter. First place in State and the Southwest Division. Third place in the Nation.
- Best Chapter Publication: Eel River Valley Chapter. First place in the State and the Southwest Division. Second place in the Nation.
- Best Single Chapter Event: Cahuilla Chapter. First place in the State and the Southwest Division and National Honorable Mention.
- 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower: Martin Severance Chapter. First place in the State, the Southwest Division and the Nation.
- 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage: Eel River Valley Chapter. First place in the State and the Southwest Division.
- 75th Anniversary of WWII: Mission Viejo Chapter. First place in the State. Second place in the Southwest Division.
- Outstanding Chapter Report: Letitia Coxe Shelby Chapter. First place in the State and the Southwest Division.
Congratulations to all of our winners. Fantastic job ladies. Totally outstanding for so many California chapters to win so many awards at the Southwest Division and National levels. Great work. California had a winning chapter in every category that this Chair submitted. A huge thank you to all the chapters that celebrated and reported their chapters Commemorative Events for 2020. We are so proud of you all.
