Women Do It All

1st Vice Regent Anne Barrett, Teri Reese, and Regent Donna Pickney

The Santa Margarita Chapter was honored to have as a speaker, retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Master-at-Arms Teri Reese, whose subject was “Women in the Military.” Reese was the first female Fleet Salvage Diver. She left active military service in 1983 and went to work for the California Highway Patrol. As a reservist she has been recalled to duty off and on since then and holds national and international certifications as an Anti-Terrorism Specialist and Homeland Security Specialist Level IV. Presently a sergeant with the California Highway Patrol, she specializes in Commercial Truck Enforcement and Drug and Human Trafficking Interdiction. A certificate of appreciation and honorarium, was presented by Regent Donna Pinckney. Reese asked that her honorarium go to Paws’itive Teams which is a group that supplies service dogs to assist wounded female warriors.
