Special Projects Grant Rule Change

There has been a rule change for eligibility of successful grantees to submit another grant application in future years for the Special Projects Grant.

PREVIOUS RULE:   Only one grant will be awarded to an entity within any consecutive three year period.

NEW RULE:  Grant funding will be awarded to a successful applicant only once during a DAR administration. Grantees awarded funds during the 2010-2013 administration are eligible to apply for an additional grant during the current administration (2013-1016).

Example:  An applicant was awarded a grant during the third year of Mrs. Wright’s administration.  That applicant is now eligible to apply for another grant the first year (or any year) of Mrs. Young’s administration.  If the applicant is awarded an additional grant during Mrs. Young’s administration, that applicant may not apply for another grant until the next administration.  If the applicant is unsuccessful in being awarded a grant, he may reapply each year until he is successful in receiving a grant award.

Questions should be directed to the state chair.
