Redwood Forest Chapter recently announced the American History Contest winners for 2013. Participation for the contest doubled this year, and with so many excellent entries it was hard to choose the best of the bunch! It was a joyous occasion for the February meeting, as over 60 friends and relatives came to see their honorees presented with certificates and monetary awards. Winning essays went to the district level. Keely Parkhurst’s essay advanced to the state level. Afterwards, a beautifully decorated spread of sandwiches, cookies, and other delectable treats were also enjoyed by all who attended. Kudos to our winners!
