Pt. Vicente Visit Local Points of Interest

Every month, the Pt. Vicente chapter hosts a trip to local points of interest for members. In October, members visited the Greystone Mansion. Built by the Doheny family, the largest family estate in the history of Beverly Hills at 12.58 acres, is listed on the Registry of Historic Places.

The members next took a docent-led tour of two collections at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. “Read my Pins: The Madeline Albright Collection” and “Fabergé: Imperial Jeweler to the Czars,” were equally admired for their beauty and historical relevance.

In November, members toured the Heritage Square Museum and had a tour of the many late 19th-century homes. Relocated and partially restored, the non-profit foundation hopes to restore these homes to their former beauty.

In December, members went to Long Beach to tour a festive Bembridge Heritage Homesite. This late Victorian era Queen Anne has the reputation of being the most historically-significant location in Long Beach.
