Out of the Mouths of Babes

Adele Lancaster, State Regent Debra Jamison and Sharon Moore

Sharon Moore, member of the Santa Margarita Chapter, and site leader of the am/pm program at the Vista Academy of the Visual and Performing Arts School (VAPA) saw one of her students stomp on a bee. That led to a quick lesson on the importance of bees, which led to the State Regent’s Project since they know that Sharon is a member of the DAR. Along comes a school fund raiser and the kids notice a beehive mug as one of the items for sale. They insisted that a mug was exactly what the bee lady needed. Sharon presented the mug to Debbie Jamison at the December 8, tea. The students were thrilled that it had been delivered, and even more so when they received a thank you note from the bee lady.
