The Santa Rosa chapter proudly announced Madeleine Craig from Cardinal Newman High School as the winner of their DAR Good Citizen Award during the luncheon held on March 11, 2019 at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building in Santa Rosa. Madeleine was also awarded first place Good Citizen in District lll and winner of the speech competition held during the luncheon event.

Thirteen outstanding high school seniors were honored this year. Eighteen members and forty-seven guests enjoyed the inspiring and thought provoking speeches given by each student on the topic “What being Good Citizen mean to me.” After the Good Citizen chapter and speech award were announced, our District lll Director, Judy Harless, presented the district award.
