The Col. William Cabell chapter in Newport Beach held it’s 69th Annual School Awards event on May 15, 2019 at Newport Harbor High School, honoring 104 students for various awards. Awards given included scholarships, Youth Citizenship awards, DAR American History Essay awards, the Excellence in American History for 5th graders (a chapter-exclusive award) and the DAR Good Citizen award.

This year, $6100 total was distributed to the students! It’s truly an amazing event with many volunteers, parents, administrators and teachers there to cheer the students on!
