Chapter Chatter: San Fernando Valley Daughter’s Service to America

San Fernando Valley Chapter Daughter, Linda Mustion, volunteered at the ‘Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall that Heals’ in Corona, CA, October 7 – 10, 2021. She had the opportunity to join a grateful Nation to thank and honor James Schultz for his service in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. She presented him with the special Vietnam Veterans 50th Commemoration certificate and lapel pin.

Two weeks later during the San Fernando Valley October chapter meeting, Linda was presented a Certificate of Appreciation for her service as a volunteer. She had just returned a few days earlier from serving at her 50th Vietnam Veteran traveling wall. Daughter Mary Lighthart knitted and presented Linda with a special Vietnam Veterans colored beanie to wear, as Linda travels in al kinds of weather to volunteer at these walls.

Linda helps visitors locate loved one’s name on the Wall and shares information about the Walls with the families who come to visit. Each event is a wonderful service for our Veterans.
