Connie Zeng from Alameda High School was selected as a DAR Outstanding Cadet for 2021. She was a yeoman and is now the galley petty officer in the Grey Ghost Division of the Sea Cadets associated with the USS Hornet in Alameda. Mt. Diablo Chapter Regent Kate Hare presented the DAR award to Connie aboard the USS Hornet on a chilly Sunday morning, March 20th, 2022. Connie was selected for consistently demonstrating the core values of the Sea Cadets: Honor, Respect, Commitment and Service.
