El Redondo Chapter held its Celebrating America Awards Meeting in March 2019 with awards given to eleven outstanding young recipients.

Over two dozen students representing a dozen local high schools participated in the ceremony.  The Color Guard from Redondo Union High School opened the program.

Pat Kelly chaired the committee for the DAR Good Citizen Awards and made those presentations.  Nancy Connell, chair of the JROTC awards, made those presentations.

JROTC instructors Keith Willoughby of Redondo Union High School and Ronald Graham of North Torrance High School along with Doug Irvine of the Sea Cadets provided valuable participation.

The Chapter always looks forward to recognizing, encouraging and honoring these promising citizens.
