Chapter Chatter: Chatsworth Chapter Memorial Tree Planting

In May 2019, current chapter members were photographed at Chatsworth Park South showing the new location of the Chatsworth Daughters’ NSDAR Memorial Tree.

The original tree, which the chapter had nicknamed “Chatty,” was replaced with a desert native Palo Verde tree after the park underwent extensive landscaping renovation. Its new location is adjacent to the Homestead Acre and the Virginia Watson Historical Museum on park grounds. A recognition marker will be placed there in the future.

Chatsworth Park South is owned by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and is located at 22360 Devonshire St, Chatsworth, CA 91311.
