The new CSSDAR members’ website was developed using the latest technology available and is driven by a database, whose data is pulled directly from e-Membership.
The VIS Committee has received many emails from members who are having issues logging in or seeing certain information once logged in. Most of the issues have to do with the type of browser being used, particularly Internet Explorer (IE) or AOL. The browser is the software that allows you to see websites, and some are “better” than others.
While all browsers perform the same basic function, IE and AOL come with built-in functionality that is unnecessary with most of today’s websites, and simply add a layer of interference.
For the best web surfing experience out there, and to avoid the inherent problems of those browsers, we recommend you try something new and better-suited to the members website. To boot, you’ll probably have a better experience on all the sites you visit! Both are free, easily downloaded off the internet and installed on your personal computer:
1. Google “Chrome”: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/
2. Mozilla “Firefox”: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
If you’re a Mac user, and use Safari, it doesn’t seem to have as many problems as IE but you will have a better experience with Chrome or Firefox.
