Is your chapter or a non-profit in your area working on a special patriotic, historic preservation, or educational project?  Is there a need for assistance with the financial responsibilities of the project?  You could qualify for a matching-fund DAR Special Projects Grant.  Specific information regarding the application process, timelines, and qualifications are found on the State and National websites: Committees – Special Projects Grants.  A downloadable brochure is available as well as a listing and descriptions of past projects and granted funds.  Grant proposals are sent to Dianne Janis, National Chair, and must be received by December 31, 2013 for consideration in this first year of the Young Administration.  Please, seriously consider this source to assist with projects in your area that satisfy the goals of our society.
