Jennifer Borncamp Wieckowski, Janette Conley Potter, and Sharman Potter Borncamp with Jennifer’s children Nicholas, Kelly, and Allison Wieckowski

The Fernanda Maria Chapter is proud to have members of a four-generation family. First to join the DAR was Sharman Potter Borncamp, who has held many offices in the chapter. She joined more than 25 years ago on an ancestor in her father’s family, Salah Bosworth. Sharman’s mother, Janette Conley Potter, became a member about five years ago on an ancestor in her family, George Elder.

Sharman’s four children, Jennifer, Johnny, Barbara, and Lucas, became members of the Children of the American Revolution soon after birth. Both Jennifer and Barbara were presented as debutantes at State Conference. As they aged out of C.A.R. her daughters joined the Fernanda Maria Chapter and her sons joined the Liberty Tree Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution and the Sons of the Revolution. In addition, Lucas, was the C.A.R. California State Society President 2008-2009.Jennifer’s children, Allison, Nicholas, and Kelly Wieckowski, are now members of the C.A.R.Sharman says, “I am constantly threatening my husband John that I am going to do his papers to join the SAR and SR, as many of his aunts were DAR members.”
