El Palo Alto Chapter honored the Challenger School Historical Essay winners at Ming’s Restaurant in Palo Alto on February 18, 2013. Grade 5 was represented by Rachel Abellera, Akhita Ramgiri from the 6th grade, Theemeshni Govender, from the 8th grade. Eric Xiao, representing the 7th grade, was unable to be there and Clare Ravi read his report. Rachel Abellera won at the chapter level, district level and is now representing the state of California for her wonderful essay for the 5th grade. This is the third straight year El Palo Alto has the privilege to have a winner go the state level.
