What a year this has been! Despite the challenges of the pandemic, our VAVS Chair, Nancy Jo Carrier, made sure our chapter’s Service to Veterans carried on uninterrupted. We couldn’t have done it without her.

Our chapter adopted two veteran families in December 2021 for Christmas and fulfilled their wish lists. These included items of necessity and items for fun. What an honor to see their smiles. We also donated items for the VA’s ‘drive through baby shower’ providing many of the necessities for new babies, and new moms: Diapers and diaper bags, pacifiers, safe bathtubs for bathing, clothing, gift cards, and more.

This year, Nancy Jo has collected over 800 thank you cards which are ready for distribution to veterans at the VA hospitals, homes, and Honor Flights. This month our chapter will be helping fill the needs of the VA food pantry through donated goods. Our chapter is grateful for Nancy Jo and her extraordinary dedication to veterans.
