Chapter Chatter: Santa Margarita Daughters View California Congressional Tea

Santa Margarita Chapter Daughter, Wanda Prosser, was honored to host dear friends for a viewing of the virtual California Congressional Tea, hosted by State Regent, Susan Broderick. Adele Lancaster, also a member of Santa Margarita Chapter, Brenda Ferich and Lillian Leslie of Linares Chapter, donned party hats and had a tea of their own after the viewing. Finger sandwiches from Brenda, quiche from Lillian, bite size sweets and three different teas from Adele. YUM!!!!

A special treat was listening to Honorary President General, Dorla Dean Kemper sharing remembrances of the first tea and the history of same to the present. We enjoyed, also, the memories of the recent Tea at state headquarters. The pictures brought back fond memories of meeting together again after months apart.

A few hours of camaraderie helped make up for not being able to celebrate the 50 year anniversary tea at the Mayflower in Washington DC. A big thank you to all of the California Daughters who helped put the virtual tea together. Nothing stops California Daughters from gathering for a good time, whether in person or virtually.

With full hearts, we can, we will and we do, Rise and Shine for God, Home and Country.
