Silicon Valley Chapter Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard, Santa Cruz Regent Ann Lauten Fay, chapter member Carol Bennett.

Santa Cruz Chapter, founded on July 22, 1916, turned 100 this year! In celebration of this amazing milestone in the Chapter’s history, a birthday luncheon was held at the Pasatiempo Golf Course in Santa Cruz on July 23, 2016!

Seventy-six Daughters, family members and friends, including our National Treasurer General and former State Regent Carol Oakley Jackson and five current and past California State Officers enjoyed our celebration. Sea shells, sea glass and salt water taffy decorated the festive tables in keeping with our gorgeous Santa Cruz ocean-view setting. Guests received favor bags of shells, sea glass and taffy along with a postcard of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk circa 1916 as a souvenir of the historic occasion.

Santa Cruz Daughters presented a program highlighting the Chapter’s one hundred year history from its founding in 1916 to the present. Chapter scrapbooks starting from 1916 and continuing through 2016, and vintage costumes, photos and family heirlooms were displayed.
