On October 8, 2022, Santa Clara Chapter held a fundraising clothing drive with Saver’s Thrift store. After the community drive-thru event, bags of donations continued to flow in until the scheduled drop off date of October 22nd.

On that morning, an efficient crew of volunteers skillfully loaded a fifteen foot truck with 360 bags of donations and headed to Saver’s for drop off and weigh in. The Saver’s crew loaded four large carts with bags piled higher than our heads and headed to the scales. The final results were 3,820 pounds of goods resulting in $741 which will be donated to the State Regent’s Honor Flight project.

With the additional donations received for our Day of Service project,, we will have the pleasure of supporting a veteran on a future Honor Flight. Thank you to our generous members and their communities for making this a success.
