Chapter Chatter: San Clemente Island Chapter Celebrates 60th Anniversary

On Monday, September 10, 2018 nearly 100 members of the Daughters of the American Revolution gathered at Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens in San Clemente to celebrate the 60th anniversary of San Clemente Island Chapter founded on September 10, 1958.  Guests enjoyed catered hors d’oeuvres and desserts as they strolled around the grounds and visited on the patio, listening to beautiful live music wafting from the solarium
above.

The highlight of the evening was the dedication of a historic plaque to Casa Romantica, honoring the founder of San Clemente, Ole Hanson, who built this magnificent estate on the bluff overlooking San Clemente Pier.  San Clemente Island Chapter was excited to have many state and district officers join us for this special evening. Our chapter provides service, scholarships and support for our local communities.  We look forward to many exciting and worthwhile projects and events in the coming years.
