Chapter Chatter: Rio Cosumnes Donates Pop Tops to Ronald McDonald House

Following our State Regent Susan Broderick’s theme “We Can & We Will” California State Society’s newest chapter enthusiastically accomplished its first conservation community service donation. The Rio Cosumnes Chapter, serving the greater Elk Grove community, was approved at the National Board of Management on August 5, 2020 and has hit the ground running organizing many projects.

Twenty-seven organizing chapter members continued to collect pop tops while the chapter was pending approval at National and on October 2, 2020, Regent Dallas Love and Historian D’Ann Moseley proudly delivered five pounds of pop tops to the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House. The Sacramento Ronald McDonald House collects pop tabs to recycle and uses the proceeds to go towards the Adopt-A-Family Program helping to subsidize the cost of families staying at the facility.
