The Rincon Del Diablo Chapter honored their American History Essay Contest winner at a recent virtual awards presentation.

Elizabeth Gregg, an eighth grader at Twin Peaks Middle School in Poway, received a first place award certificate and the NSDAR Excellence in History bronze medal.

Our chapter members, as well as Elizabeth’s parents, are especially proud that Elizabeth’s essay on The Boston Massacre went on to win second place with the NSDAR District XIV judges. Elizabeth tells us that her favorite subject in school is, not surprisingly, history.
