Regent Sherrie Stein (L) and 1st Vice Regent Liza Pille (R) at Sufferage Parade.

Rincon del Diablo has had many exciting events since the new administration of Sherrie Stein began with her election as 2016-18 regent of our chapter in June 2016.  Activities have included The Spirit of the Fourth parade in Rancho Bernardo which included many enthusiastic DAR members.  Rincon del Diablo also had a fun luncheon and tour of the Green Dragon Tavern and Museum and participated in period dress for the 11th Annual Suffrage Parade in Balboa Park, San Diego.

Our latest participation was the Constitution Day Luncheon, hosted by the San Diego Chapter.  The program speaker was William Norton and his topic was “The Preservation of Liberty”.

Among the newest activities will be a new book club, with discussions, good food, and camaraderie 4-5 times a year. Our first book we read and discussed was “The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey”.

Rincon del Diablo Chapter is gearing up for the most successful year yet!
