The Mt. Diablo Chapter held their final meeting before summer on May 10, 2022 at the Creekside Clubhouse located in Rossmoor in Walnut Creek. Following the opening ceremony the new board members for the 2022-2024 term were sworn in by Parliamentarian Stephanie Brown-Myers.

A lively trivia game was held on the important dates in May, including Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day, and the WAACs (Womens Army Auxiliary Corps). The program for the meeting was “Getting to Know You”. Our Daughters were invited to share stories of their Patriot ancestors and their experiences in joining the DAR, in addition to other interesting stories, including a family history related to the railroad line in the San Ramon Valley.

At the conclusion of the meeting outgoing Regent Kate Hare presented Regent elect Denise Lytle-Bray with the Regent’s pin. Denise presented Kate with a beautiful floral arrangement as a thank you from the chapter for her leadership during the 2020-2022 term.
