Chapter Chatter: Mojave Chapter Welcomes 11 New Members

MojaveMojave was able to welcome 11 new members at our first meeting in September, 2016.

Judith Baxter conducted the meeting with grace and control with so much to be done at her first meeting as Regent. She had to get our budget approved, welcome the new members, allow time for the committee reports and do it in a timely manner. Our membership chairman, Hillary White, also had six prospective members attending. Mojave had a welcoming committee which started with our treasurer, Holly Bogdanovich, who was accepting dues and luncheon fees. Then, the corresponding secretary, Melissa Teeling, was handing out the new yearbooks. Next were the chaplain, June Edwards; membership chair, Hillary; past regent, Jill Belanger; and finally the new members made their way to our outstanding junior member, Kristina Belanger, who was paging and showed them to their seat.  Our new members had name tags to wear and name cards at their table which were placed so they were seated beside existing members.  The energy was wonderful and the conversation was full of current information. The new members brought their family to witness this historic occasion.

It was truly an epic meeting. To have things just work out that 10 new members paperwork came together over the summer and one member decided to transfer in at the same time was phenomenal! The work goes to our registrar Barbara Swift and her team of Joy Gage, Ann Nepsa, Dottie Jones, Claire Kyllingstad, Holly Bogdanovich, and Helen MacKain. Great work ladies!
