Chapter Chatter: Jose Maria Amador Chapter Welcomes Home Honor Flight Veterans

On April 30, 2019, 15 members of the Jose Maria Amador chapter helped welcome home heroic World War II and Korean veterans from their Honor Flight conducted by the Bay Area Honor Flight Foundation.  An Honor Flight is conducted by non-profit organizations dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials of the respective war they fought, in Washington, DC, at no cost to the veterans.

The chapter was joined by the USO, Girl Scouts, bagpipe players, Honor Quilts, and veteran’s families.  Jane Ullrich, chapter member, donated supplies for our colorful posters and California DAR buttons.
