John Greenleaf Whittier Chapter was proud to present chapter member Ginny Ball and Carol Reza the NSDAR American Women in History Award on September 20. Ginny Ball has been the President of 19 different Boards in Whittier and has been volunteering for over 30 years. She was the Grand Marshall of the Whittier Christmas Parade in 2016. Carol Reza was the Chapter’s Outstanding Community Service Award winner several years ago and went on to win at the District, State, and NSDAR level. Carol  received her NSDAR Outstanding Community Service Award at Continental Congress that same year. Whittier City Councilwoman Cathy Warner also presented to each of the ladies  a “Certificate of Commendation” for their volunteer service to the community of Whittier Councilwoman Cathy Warner then presented a Certificate of Commendation to the John Greenleaf Whittier Chapter for their 87th year of preserving the memory and patriotic spirit of those who fought for the United States Independence.
