Chapter Chatter: Fresno Yosemite Chapter Honors Years of Service

The Fresno Yosemite Chapter has the privilege of honoring two long term and respected members.

Jessie Bain has been a member of our chapter for 58 years. She developed the concept of our DAR Good Citizens Tea, which to this day grown to be one of our vital events of the year. Originally, she invited the guests, prepared the program and food, and hosted it by herself. When it got to be such a popular event, it became too much for her to do on her own. She is the mother of our DAR Good Citizen’s Tea and her efforts are admired.

Linda Dubree, has been member of our chapter for 80 years! She turned 100 years young on March 3rd of this year. Birthday cards were sent to her by our chapter and many others. She was delighted to receive the cards and asked her niece, whom she lives with since her fall, every day if there was any mail for her. We will be celebrating her membership in June with a cake and a plaque which was made by one of our members.
