Chapter Chatter: El Redondo Chapter’s 54th Annual Colonial Luncheon

El Redondo Chapter held its 54th annual Colonial Luncheon on 2/23/19 at the Los Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates. One hundred seventeen attendees were greeted by Regent Pat Husain and Mistress of Ceremonies Carolyn Bushnell, Honorary Chapter Regent and National Vice Chair of Horticultural Scholarships. A dramatic presentation was given by Gay Storm Oakes as “Edith Wilson: America’s First Woman President.” Gay is an actress and also an Honorary Chapter Regent of the Eschsholtzia Chapter.

Enjoying this program along with the El Redondo ladies were Harbor SAR officers Kevin Bidenkap (Pres.), Brandon Villardi (V.P.), Harry Bellows (Sec.); Point Vicente Chapter members included Karin Amour (Dist. XIII Dir.) El Redondo Honorary Regent Nancy Guenther (Nat’l Vice Chair S.W. Div. Proj. Patriot) was acknowledged as was Kathy Holloway (San Antonio Chapter Regent.) El Redondo Chaplain Sue Ann Harding (Honorary Regent and
Dist. XIII Chaplain) did the invocation.

We were honored to have CWO3 Keith Willoughby and the MCJROTC from Redondo\ Union H.S. join us and assist in distributing prizes. The proceeds raised from the annual luncheon with its community and member support provide the funds for our scholarship program.

Our SAR brothers and our chapter members in colonial dress added to the festivities.
