The Don Jose de Ortega Chapter is excited to announce a $1000 scholarship available for Fall Semester 2019 for a deserving college student.  We are looking for a junior, senior, or post-graduate student in the field of science, medicine, mathematics, or education, or for a nursing student who has completed at least one semester of a 2 year program.

If you have a child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or other friend or family member who might be interested please have him or her contact us at stowerscmte@gmail.com.  Please write Scholarship in the subject line of the email.  The instructions and forms will be mailed or emailed to the applicant, and applications need to be returned by May 25, 2018.

The recipient does not have to be in DAR, and the selection committee is willing to consider applicants in other majors who are committed to serving their communities.  Don Jose de Ortega Chapter would love to hear from the students in your life !
