The Don Jose de Ortega Chapter is happy to announce that we will soon award a fall semester scholarship, the Marcia Stowers Scholarship, to a deserving college student. We are looking for a junior, senior, or post-graduate student in a field of science, mathematics, medicine, or education, or a nursing student, who has completed at least one year of a nursing program. The scholarship is $1000 for the Fall Semester 2020.

If you have a child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or other friend or family member who might be interested, please have him or her contact us at stowerscmte@gmail.com. The instructions and necessary forms will be mailed or emailed to the applicant, and applications need to be returned by September 30, 2020. The recipient does not have to be in DAR, and the selection committee is willing to consider applicants in other majors who display a commitment to serving their communities.
