Chapter Chatter: Chief Solano’s Regent Takes New Horizon’s Course

To take the New Horizon’s Course…or not take the New Horizon’s course? That is the question Regent Angie Goodson pondered as she became the incoming regent for Chief Solano Chapter. Regent Goodson shares her personal testimony below.

“If you are looking to expand your knowledge about the Daughters of the American Revolution and be inspired to do more as a Daughter, I highly encourage it. I have a handful of modules left and once completed I hope to be counted among those other Daughters who call themselves “graduates”

I started this journey back in June of last year…yes during the pandemic…and as an incoming chapter regent. Taking the course now may or may not have been the smartest thing to do…however being regent has made some modules easier than others since I have e-membership access.

Along the way I have learned a great deal and I think the biggest take away I can share is that it takes a team to be a chapter. You alone cannot do it all, all meaning as a chapter officer or as a member. To be successful, it takes a team. And there so many resources available to us Daughters.

Take the New Horizons Course to find these gems as well as the Daughters there to offer a helping hand!”
