New members are typically inducted and welcomed into the Cahuilla Chapter at luncheon meetings in March and October. Due to the pandemic, the March 2020 meeting was cancelled and currently chapter meetings are being held via Zoom.

Cahuilla Daughters wanted to recognize their new members in-person, so a special induction ceremony was held October 17, 2020 at Palm Desert Civic Center Park. There was beautiful weather for the outdoor event where 10 new members took their oath of membership complete with face masks and physically distanced, of course! Each new member was welcomed with a gift bag and rose to celebrate their membership.

Chapter Registrar, Barbara Johns, has been hard at work this year as 19 member applications have been verified so far in 2020, with several more expected before the end of the year. In addition, one new patriot line was also recently identified and approved.
