Announcement: Opportunity to Help Active Duty Military at Patriotism Luncheon

Please join the Patriotism Committee at the 114th CSSDAR State Conference for the Fifth Annual Patriotism Luncheon on Friday, March 18, 2022. The luncheon is open to all.

With Full Hearts, this year’s Patriotism Luncheon will focus on the active-duty men and women who serve in the military. Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., is celebrating its 80th year of providing support to our service men and women. The CSSDAR Patriotism Luncheon will celebrate the Anniversary of this non-profit organization by bringing items for donation to men and women serving the military. Blue Star Mothers of America not only promotes patriotism, but provides support for active-duty personnel, helps families affected by war, assist veterans, provides support to Gold Star Families, and are available to assist in Homeland volunteer efforts to help our country remain strong. In the last year, they have extended their cause to provide assistance to Veterans.

Members are encouraged to support members of the Military and Veterans by bringing items to donate. The list of items may be found at the following link:
Project Patriot Donation List

Attendees are encouraged to bring handwritten notes of thanks. If you have extra blank cards, please bring them and they will be used to write additional notes to our service members. Do include your name and email address, if you would like. Some will take time to reply.

Do not include anything with an alcohol ingredient. Items can be found at Target – Wal-Mart – Dollar Store – Dollar Tree – Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and most grocery and drug stores. Bring the new, unopened, regular-sized items and handwritten notes to the luncheon and help create a care package that will be sent to our active-duty military.

If you would prefer to make a monetary donation to Blue Star Mothers of America to help cover APO shipping charges, you may donate online using a credit card through the WebStore at the following link (after login):

Or, send a check made payable to CSSDAR Treasurer. Please write Blue Star Mothers on the memo line and send to:
CSSDAR Headquarters P.O. Box 1436 Glendora, CA 91740-1436
Additionally, checks and cash will be collected at the luncheon.

With Full Hearts, We Can & We Will Rise to support our members of the Military and Veterans. Hope to see you there!
