Dear California Daughters,

I have mentioned during the last few weeks as fires have crossed our State, that we were opening the California Wildfire Fund again. I am saddened by the news today of the loss of yet another Daughter’s home due to the Glass fire.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our members throughout the State as we await word on how many are being affected by this latest outbreak of wildfires. Our District Directors are reaching out and keeping us posted.

During the past two administrations, Daughters have opened their hearts and donated gift cards for Target, Walmart and grocery stores and/or made monetary donations for the purchase of additional gift cards. This State Regent is again reaching out for your help. Gift cards and checks made out to: CSSDAR State Treasurer with the notation “CA Wildfire Fund” on the memo line can be sent to:

The need for other goods, lodging and/or larger household items will be communicated as we have details. Immediate help to the affected areas can be offered through local emergency response organizations.

Thank you Daughters – your letters of encouragement and donations in the past have made a huge difference to those losing homes.

With Full Hearts…..We Can and We Will make a difference now in the lives of these Daughters facing that same loss.
