Luiseño Chapter in Temecula 4th of July Parade

For the ninth year in a row, the Luiseño Chapter placed an entry in the City of Temecula’s 4th of July Parade.  Several chapter members got together before the 4th to make the red, white, and blue rosettes that decorated the float.  Chairman Marie Crain-Wyatt, and her husband, constructed a structure that fit onto a flatbed trailer to house the float.  On the day of the parade chapter members finished decorating the float.  In costume and riding on the float were Bonnie Hayosh, Regent Marie Crain-Wyatt, Corresponding Secretary Fay Bishop, Past Regent Helen Shadwick, Past Regent Pat Rainier, Mary Jane Borer, along with Mary Jane and Fay’s granddaughters. Again this year, members of Sons of the American Revolution, and a George Washington interpreter lead the entry. The entry won a 3rd place award in the float category.
