Antelope Valley Chapter member Vickie Fisher saw the Penny Pines Reforestation Program presented at the District XV October meeting. She knew she wanted to be involved and have her Antelope Valley Chapter participate.   The Penny Pines Reforestation Program was started in 1941 and for $68.00 (at that time),  seedlings for ten acres could be purchased to be used for replanting damaged trees.

Vickie presented the Penny Pines Program at her chapter meeting in November. She has seen fire and insects destroy parts of the Yosemite she loves and visits at least once a year for the past 34 years.

Funds have been raised by the chapter to help support the Penny Pines project.
