Santa Clara Chapter began preparing and serving breakfast to veterans in November, and this amazing program continues to grow! The Veterans Housing Facility, known to chapter members as ‘Housing for Heroes,’ provides support services and housing for homeless veterans as they return to independent living. Chapter members enjoy spending Sunday mornings slicing, dicing, setting up, serving, and thanking our veterans for their service. The chapter provided 180 toiletry-filled care bags for the holidays, with special supplies for male and female veterans. Santa Clara Chapter voted to purchase an industrial food processor to ‘Housing for Heroes,’ which makes Chef Anita and all who eat at the facility very happy.
