Chapter Chatter: Santa Margarita Chapter Board Member Retreat at CSSDAR Headquarters

Six board members of the Santa Margarita Chapter enjoyed a sleepover at Headquarters, getting to know each other better and working on chapter business. Preliminary planning for a 90th birthday celebration, DAR School projects, Community Classroom and Community Service ideas were among the topics tackled under the leadership of Regent Alida Woodward. Lunch and dinner in downtown Glendora gave the members a feel for the beautiful town that houses our Craftsman style headquarters. Feeling refreshed after a good nights sleep, a breakfast of hard-boiled eggs, pastries, fruit, orange juice, tea and coffee was enjoyed. Beds were stripped and remade with clean linens, trash was emptied and a last minute walk through assured that the house was left in pristine condition. Members were on the road home before noon with a job well done and a feeling of mission accomplished.
