Announcement: “Rosie’s Daughters” Copies Available to Chapters

In the mid-2000s the California State Society Daughters of the American Revolution partnered with the National Center for History in the Schools (NCHS) to produce a book titled “Rosie’s Daughters.”

The book is a compilation of stories of CSSDAR members who contributed so much to the war effort during World War II. Many of you may remember this book.

The NCHS has graciously donated 125 copies of the book to the CSSDAR. Now, every chapter has the opportunity to award these books to participants of the American History Essay Contest and/or the Christopher Columbus Essay Contest.

The books are available on first come, first served basis. To reserve your free copies of “Rosie’s Daughters,” please email this officer with the following information:

– Chapter Name
– District
– Number of books requested
– Pick up at Northern or Southern Council

Reserved books must be picked up at either Southern or Northern in the exhibit room. Books will not be shipped.

I hope you take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Please contact this officer if you have any questions.
