It is with sadness that we share news of the passing of Honorary State Regent, the Reverend Ellen Mighells Cook Deuel on July 19, 2016.

Mrs. Deuel was State Regent of the California Society 1988-1990, and most recently a member of the Santa Clara Chapter.

In memories of her term as State Regent, she proudly referred to her “Computerization of California” state project, laughingly recalling those who called it “Ellen’s Folly.” She’d be very proud of how far we’ve come.

Mrs. Deuel was preceded in death by her husband Starr Deuel.

A memorial service is planned for August 27th in Ramona. Details will follow.
