CSSDAR Participates in DAR Museum Adopt-an-Object Program

shawlThe California State Society Daughters of the American Revolution is participating in the DAR Museum’s Adopt-An-Object Program.

During the Northern and Southern Councils 2015 the California State Society DAR Museum Outreach Committee held a raffle to raise funds to adopt a delicate India “mull” muslin shawl made between the years of 1800-1810. Due to the generosity of the California Daughters, not only did the DAR Museum Outreach Committee raise the funds to adopt the shawl but raised enough money to adopt two shawls.

The winner of the Adopt-An-Object raffle was Judy Hatcher of the Antelope Valley Chapter. She received a lovely necklace and bracelet from the DAR Museum Gift Shop.

shawl2We would like to thank all the California Daughters who participated in the raffle for their support of the DAR Museum. Participation in the Adopt-An-Object Program ensures the preservation of DAR Museum’s collection so future generations will continue to enjoy, study, and learn from these objects.

Thank You!
