Gold Trail’s nominee and CSSDAR Outstanding Teacher of American History, Brandon Dell’Orto, was honored by the California State Senate during their afternoon session on May 26, 2015. State Senator Ted Gaines introduced Brandon and presented him with a beautifully framed State Proclamation in honor of his CSSDAR award and for his teaching excellence. Brandon’s father and sister were in the audience along with five Gold Trail Daughters, Pat Pedersen, Emily Meyers, Patricia Meyers, Jean Thomas and Susan Brooking.
