January 15th is the deadline for submitting your story to State Historian Sally Holcombe to be included in “Vietnam War Memoirs as Written by California DAR Daughters.” To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War, the California State Society is compiling Vietnam War histories, written by the California DAR Daughters who experienced that period of American history. The collection will be published by the California State Society.
Information and directions about submitting a Vietnam War personal history — as well as the “Permission to Publish” form – are located on the CSSDAR website under “Forms and Documents – State Documents and Forms – State Historian.” Each submission must be accompanied by a “Permission to Publish” form.
All California Daughters who experienced the Vietnam War as either military personnel or civilians are encouraged to participate in this historic record.
