Following are several important reminders for items that are time-sensitive:

1. The State Society has added a fourth block of rooms at the LAX Marriott Hotel for State Conference to be held March 6-9, 2014.  Please encourage members to make a reservation if they think they “might” be attending. The hotel is getting close to being completely sold out due to our huge block.  Members must use the rate password when making reservations to ensure they get the DAR rate. Complete information can be found on the “Latest Buzz” on the CSSDAR Members’ website main page.

2.  Last call for members who would like to work on Congressional committees at the 2014 Continental Congress.  Please send your name, national number, address, phone, and email to the state regent by no later than DECEMBER 15.  If you think you “might” go to Congress, and would want to work on a committee, please send your information by the deadline.

3. NSDAR has sent a request for Pages from California to participate in the 2014 Continental Congress.  Please send your name, national number, address, phone, and email to both the state regent and State Chair Jennifer Garvin (jennifergarvin@gmail.com).  Congress will be held June 25-29,2014.

We need to know if:

(a) you would like to be invited to page at Congress; (b) you will be attending and working at the California Tea on June 24th; and (c) whether you will be attending the Junior Membership Luncheon.

Send this information by no later than February 15, 2014

4.  Remember that all State committee deadlines can be found on the CSSDAR List of Due Dates. This list is in the Regent’s Toolbox on the State members’ website. It can also be found on the “State Forms and Documents” link.  In addition, each committee web page has its deadlines clearly noted at the top of the page. Please address your questions about contest and project deadlines to the individual committee chairs.
