Esther Sires, Chapter Good Citizens Chairman and Rebecca Kandell, chapter winner.

At the recent awards meeting and luncheon Esther Sires, chapter chairman, presented Good Citizen winner Rebecca Kandell. Rebecca is a 2013 graduate of Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest. By demonstrating the qualities of service, leadership, patriotism, and dependability Rebecca was judged best qualified to receive the certificate, pin, and cash award as the Panamint Springs DAR Good Citizen for 2013. The chapter members enjoyed hearing Rebecca read her winning essay. Rebecca’s mom was also present to see her receive the award.
