A group of 15 members from the Sacramento Chapter gathered on Arbor Day, April 26, 2013, to support the efforts of our Conservation Committee in planting a beautiful crepe myrtle tree to provide additional shade and beauty to the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon. Many thanks to the efforts of daughter Sandee Pierce who collected donations for the event, procured the donation of the tree from the Jackson Road Green Acres, and arranged for the tree delivery. Following the tree planting ceremony the group enjoyed tea and lunch at Linde Lane in Dixon.
