On behalf the State Society, it is with sadness I write to inform California Daughters of the death of Bernadine “Bernie” Hatch Swadley (Mrs. Robert), Honorary State Regent of California, Vice President General, 1991-1994, and State Regent, California 1980-82.

Bernie passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013, after a brief illness. There will be no visitation. Private burial will take place at the Golden Gate Federal Cemetery, San Bruno, CA. Arrangements are through Cooper Chapel, 1580 Fruitvale Avenue, Oakland, CA 94601.
